As we head towards the end of 2022 and into 2023, Kim Wilcoxon and Laura Ryan of Thompson Hine will provide a list of new employee benefit plan compliance requirements and recent developments that should be your radar, remind you of best practices designed to mitigate risk, and help you prepare for changes you may need to make when the COVID-19 public health emergency and national emergency end.

A little information on our speakers:

Kim Wilcoxon is a partner in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation group of Thompson Hine, where she has worked since graduating from law school in 2001. Kim enjoys helping employers understand the rules that apply to their health and welfare plans, and she routinely advises on benefit plan strategy, application of new legal guidance, plan documentation, and vendor contracting.  She has received recognition as the leading Employee Benefits lawyer in Ohio by Lexology’s Client Choice Award and as a Next Generation Partner by Legal 500.

Laura Ryan is a partner in Thompson Hine’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation group.  She provides advice and counsel to employers across a variety of industries on all aspects of their employee benefit programs including 401(k) and pension plans, group health plans, and non-qualified deferred compensation plans.  Her 5 years of experience working as in-house counsel with a Cincinnati-based public company taught her the value of delivering practical legal solutions and easy-to-understand advice to her clients.  Laura has been selected for inclusion in Chambers USA: American’s Leading Lawyers for Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation, Ohio and The Best Lawyers in America for Employee Benefits Law.
